Parent Duties
Riverbend Playschool depends on active parent participation to run smoothly and
create a strong community. Below are brief descriptions of roles you can sign up for
to support the school and your child’s experience.
Cleaning Bee Coordinator
Schedules and tracks parent volunteers for essential school cleaning sessions.
Cleaning Bee Committee
Attends and assists at two cleaning bee evenings throughout the school year.
Laundry Person
Assists the teachers by washing, folding, and returning playschool
laundry weekly,
Scholastic Coordinator
Coordinates Scholastic book orders and promotes parent participation to help earn classroom rewards.
Library Curator
Manages library inventory, ensuring books are organized, in good condition, and ready for borrowing.
Memory Book Coordinator
Coordinates supplies, meetings, and parent volunteers to assemble student memory books.
Sewing/Mending
Completes sewing projects and mends classroom items as requested by teachers throughout the year.
Cleaning Bee Committee
Attends and assists at two cleaning bee evenings throughout the school year.
Craft Preparation
Prepare materials for upcoming crafts in coordination with the teachers.
Paint Person
Maintains paint supplies by cleaning tools regularly and updating colors based on classroom themes.
Sharing Day Administrator
Prepares and updates the Share Bear roster, providing a master copy to teachers for classroom display.
Fundraising Support
Assists the Fundraising Chairperson with organizing the casino and coordinating
fundraising campaigns.
